September 30

And We're Off

On Friday, Kim's (and Karrie's) birthday we drove to Orlando for a weekend with our grandson.  Then Kim and I left Orlando on a Delta flight at 6:25 am and flew to Seattle; had about a one hour layover and then onto Vancouver, arriving at 12:30 local time.  Cleared customs and got our luggage in about one hour then while waiting for the Holland America shuttle bus up came Karrie and Peggy to join us.  We were onboard and into our rooms within the hour before having the required muster drill - in the 50 degree weather on deck.  By 5 pm the HMS Oosterdam was underway and we were off to our first dinner watching the ocean out the panoramic window.  It was a good first day and I know we'll all sleep well tonight.
Playing "Money Game" (dump it out, put it back, repeat!)
